At the end of last year, the iPhone X created a huge buzz and to this day it remains at the top of the market, being one of the most popular and high-tech mobile devices. Samsung, having released the Galaxy S9 / S9 + model in early 2018, once again reminded the whole world why we love Galaxy. There is nothing surprising in the fact that many companies are trying to replicate the success of the two most famous smartphone series. Copying everything from design to basic features, many modern smartphones look almost the same as the iPhone and Samsung. We’ve rounded up 10 doppelgänger smartphones that can serve as a great and more affordable alternative.

  1. LG G7

This smartphone has not yet appeared on the shelves, however, its resemblance to the iPhone X is simply impossible not to notice. The well-known “bangs” of the iPhone X immediately catches the eye, where the original has an intricate camera.

As for the native functions of the LG G7, the smartphone is equipped with a 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 1440×3120 pixels and an impressive depth of 564 pixels per inch. The case is covered in aluminum and Gorilla Glass 5, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 will run inside. Memory options can be selected from 6GB / 128GB or 4GB / 64GB.

On the model designed for two SIM-cards, it is also possible to expand the internal memory up to 400GB using a memory card. The battery capacity is 3000mAh.

The choice of colors from LG is definitely richer than the iPhone, as the case is available in as many as four colors, including gray, black, pink and blue. Another significant difference is the fact that the LG case still has a standard 3.5mm jack. But, perhaps, the main thing is OC Android 8.0 Oreo with the ability to upgrade to Android 9.0.

  1. Huawei P20/ P20 Pro/P20 Lite

Huawei did not stay away from the new design either. True, instead of copying it completely, the company chose to leave the bottom panel with the home button, but add the same “bangs”. In general, the smartphone P20, P20 Lite and their more sophisticated brother P20 Pro look pretty presentable. They differ in screen size: the Pro model has a 6.1-inch display, while the P20 and P20 Lite have a 5.8-inch display. The camera resolution of the P20 Pro is a particularly interesting topic, as the smartphone is equipped with a 40-megapixel camera. If there is one thing you can be sure of, it is in the beautiful photos from this smartphone. Otherwise, the specifications are very typical for a flagship: Hisilicon Kirin 970, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal memory and a 4000 mAh battery.

Not to say that the P20 model is far behind — an impressive 20 MP, dual camera, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal memory and 3400mAh for continuous operation.

The Lite model, as the most budget version of the smartphone, provides a 16MP camera, however, also a dual, 3000mAh one and a slightly simpler Kirin 659 processor to work with 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal memory options.

Although it looks like the iPhone X, the P20 itself is an impressive smartphone with a lot of options for different capabilities.

  1. Blackview X

Another iPhone X twin smartphone is the Blackview X. In addition to the name, it almost completely repeats the appearance of the iPhone. At the same time, manufacturers have tried to add an element of innovation to the device, as it will be the first device with a 5.85-inch display to receive a 19:9 aspect ratio.

Not much is known about this smartphone: it will receive two main cameras and a front one. There will be no buttons on the front of the case, like the iPhone X. The Blackview X will be charged via a USB Type-C connector, and an appropriate charger will be included in the kit. Most likely, the processor that will be responsible for the performance will be MediaTek, although this information has not yet been confirmed. Of course, the device will work on Android and even on version 8.1 Oreo. Otherwise, the smartphone is likely to be among the budget.

  1. Vivo X21

More recently, another smartphone has appeared that is literally indistinguishable from the iPhone X. Vivo X21, available in white, black and red colors, this smartphone is made of aluminum and glass and has a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display. The screen resolution is 1080×2280 pixels. The Qualcomm SDM660 Snapdragon 660 processor works inside, and already by these characteristics it becomes clear that we are dealing with a very powerful and serious device, which, compared to the original, has a very low price. 6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal memory are characteristics that meet modern requirements. The battery capacity is 3200mAh and the operating system is Android 8.1 Oreo.

The smartphone is equipped with a dual main camera with a resolution of 12MP and a front camera. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the case. At least the iPhone camera could not be copied. All in all, the vivo X21 is quite an impressive phone that’s great for everyday tasks.

  1. Oppo R15

Once again, the recognizable iPhone design, this time on a smartphone from Oppo. It was released quite recently, so it is not yet available everywhere. The case, as always, consists of aluminum and Gorilla Glass 5, and the AMOLED display has a diagonal of 6.28 inches and a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels. By the way, the display is pretty good considering the 19:9 aspect ratio and 401ppi depth.

Mediatek Helio P60 works inside, and the operating system is still the same Android 8.1 Oreo. The RAM in the device is 6GB, and the built-in memory is 128GB, so it copes with the main tasks very confidently.

The smartphone, of course, is equipped with a dual camera with a resolution of 16MP and a slot for an additional memory card. It is worth noting the battery capacity — 3450mAh. In general, Oppo leaves a very pleasant impression.

  1. blackview s8

The second smartphone about Blackview repeats the design of another well-known smartphone — Galaxy. Indeed, outwardly two smartphones are very difficult to distinguish from each other. But in terms of characteristics, the Blackview S8 is inferior to the original, which, in turn, significantly reduces its price. The smartphone has a display with a diagonal of 5.7 inches and a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. The IPS display is nonetheless bright and crisp. Inside, the Mediatek MT6750T processor is responsible for performance. With 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, this is more than enough for standard applications and tasks. In addition, you can expand the memory up to 128GB using a memory card. On the back of the smartphone is a dual camera with a resolution of 13MP, which allows you to take very high-quality photos. The Blackview S8 is charged via a USB Type-C port, and the battery capacity is 3180 mAh. The operating system is Android 7.0 Nougat and in general, Blackview S8 is a very worthy alternative for those who like the Galaxy S8, but do not like its price.

  1. Leagoo S8

This smartphone appeared on the shelves only in the fall of 2017, but this does not prevent us from discussing what impressions he managed to leave with users. Outwardly, it really strongly resembles the Samsung Galaxy series — the same curved screen, similar body, etc. The smartphone runs on an operating system on Android 7.0 Nougat and will receive a 5.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. The performance of the device is provided by MediaTek MT6750T, but in terms of memory parameters, manufacturers limited themselves to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The latter, by the way, can be expanded using microSD. Both the front and main cameras turned out to be dual, which definitely attracts the attention of photography fans. In general, both in terms of quality and performance, the current reviews rate the Leagoo S8 at a very high level, so this smartphone is worth keeping in mind.

  1. Huawei Mate 9 Pro

One curved screen is not enough to be considered a Samsung twin, and in terms of external design, the Huawei Mate Pro is quite noticeably different. Nevertheless, it fully deserves the title of a worthy and more affordable alternative to the well-known smartphone. The bright saturated AMOLED display has a diagonal of 5.5 inches and a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels with a depth of 534 ppi. Perhaps this is already enough to attract attention. But that’s not all that pleases this smartphone. The 20 megapixel Leica dual camera is sure to be an eye-catcher for mobile photography connoisseurs.

In terms of parameters, Huawei Mate 9 Pro also does not lag behind competitors: it’s HiSilicon Kirin 960 inside, it’s 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory (there is a 4/64GB option) and, perhaps, one of the most pleasant features is a 4000mAh battery.

Of course, there is also a fingerprint scanner on the case, but the smartphone itself is made of aluminum and glass, like most modern models.

  1. Xiaomi Mi Note 2

For a long time, Xiaomi smartphones have been strongly associated with an appearance that almost completely repeats the design of the iPhone. In 2016, this changed when Xiaomi took note of the popular trend and put it into practice by creating the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 with a curved display. Today, this smartphone, of course, is not the pinnacle of technology, but it remains a very high-quality and powerful device. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 processor. Combined with 6GB of RAM, it delivers fast apps, games and movies. 128 GB of internal memory is enough for storing files, although there is no additional slot for a memory card on the smartphone. AMOLED display has a diagonal of 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and a depth of 386 ppi. The main camera, albeit a single one, has an impressive resolution of 22.5 MP, and the battery capacity is 4070 mAh. In general, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a smartphone that will serve your tasks very confidently even today.

  1. Elephone U Pro

Elephone U Pro was announced in early 2018 and immediately reminded many of the Samsung Galaxy. Of course, this is due to the Full HD + AMOLED display with a diagonal of 5.99 inches. Its resolution is 2160×1080 pixels, and the aspect ratio is 18:9. The body is made of aluminum, and the screen is covered with Gorilla Glass 5. The simpler specifications ensured a more affordable price. So the Snapdragon 660 processor works inside the smartphone, 6GB of RAM is responsible for speed, and 128GB of internal memory is for data storage. Fast charging allows you to replenish the 3550 mAh battery in a short time, even without a wire, and the operating system is Android 8. The smartphone is a pleasant experience and can be a perfectly acceptable alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S9.
