QNAP TS231 is a series of NAS devices aimed at home use. advanced copy functions, an application store, a proprietary QNAP shell in Russian. Thanks to QNAP’s many years of experience, the company manages to bring devices that are almost ideal from the technical side of the issue to the market. Unfortunately, gloss and rich opportunities have to be paid by the buyer.

Test results

The NAS QNAP TS-231P2-1G proved to be mostly convincing during the tests and received a good overall score. Within the walls of the laboratory, the device we tested showed its particularly good qualities in such individual test disciplines as «Performance», «Functionality» and «Energy Consumption». Here we are talking about top results. We really liked the fact that throughout the entire test cycle, the testers could not find any too serious flaws in this model — all the characteristics were at least at the average level. At the time of writing this report, the QNAP TS-231P2-1G offers mediocre value for money.
