Now it can be found in retail at a price of about 11 thousand rubles. An MVA-matrix with a diagonal of 23.6 inches does not show any miracles here, but considering the price, it is well balanced. Color reproduction is acceptable (better than budget TN monitors), the backlight is uniform, viewing angles do not cause complaints from users. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the low refresh rate and long response times. This display is not good for gaming..

There is nothing to say about the design here: an ordinary black monitor on a simple stand with a round base (height cannot be adjusted). It would seem that, given the price, ergonomics can not be dreamed of, but AOC engineers in some ways went to meet the buyer. There are built-in speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone output and the ability to mount on the wall. Users criticize the monitor for bad sound from the speakers, short bundled wires, lack of an HDMI port and noticeable loops on black in dynamic games (they say this is cured by changing the overdrive parameter in the settings).

The ninth place is taken by ASUS VA24EHE. Hit budget monitor with a diagonal of 23.8 inches and with an IPS matrix. Price — about 14 thousand rubles. It stands out in its price range for excellent color reproduction (99% sRGB), blue light filtering and Flicker-free technology to reduce screen flicker. The brightness is only 250 cd / m2, but this is enough for home use. The display has a matte finish. IPS-matrix provides excellent viewing angles.

Most of all, this monitor is criticized for the «dishonest» 75 Hz (uses Adaptive Sync) and long response times. Some buyers come across instances with uneven backlighting. Among other shortcomings, there is a lack of a Display Port connector and a complete HDMI cable.. At the same time, the display is deservedly praised for its appearance: the frames are minimal, and the stand has a compact square base (but you can’t adjust it in height). The monitor does not take up much space on the table. There is also a VESA mount for wall mounting.

ASUS has a stylish and versatile budget monitor. The IPS-matrix produces rich colors and excellent viewing angles, but it is impossible to call it gaming. For games, it’s worth saving up a few thousand more and buying a budget gaming monitor from Samsung or ZOWIE.

ZOWIE XL2411P

On the eighth line is ZOWIE XL2411P. The budget monitor from the gaming sub-brand BenQ boasts a high refresh rate and fast response. In stores it can now be found at a price of about 18 thousand rubles.. Judging by the tests, the monitor uses a good TN-matrix. When connected via DisplayPort, it gives a good color gamut (about 90% sRGB). It is noteworthy that when connected via HDMI v1.4b, you can achieve higher color gamut and contrast, but the refresh rate will be limited to 60 Hz.

FreeSync support not announced. But there is Blur Reduction to improve image smoothness and matrix overclocking. With viewing angles, everything is expectedly bad here: even with a deviation of more than 15 degrees horizontally, the colors acquire a yellowish tint for the observer, and the picture contrast drops. But everything is fine with the backlight — it is uniform and soft, without flickering. The design of the display is absolutely unimpressive — it’s just a regular black monitor with very thick bezels. Due to the massive square base, it can be confused with some budget LCD TV. However, this stand allows you to rotate the monitor as you like (including the vertical plane), as well as adjust its height. DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort ports are located at the bottom, the power supply is built into the case. Of the pleasant, you can also note the VESA mount and headphone output.

Customers praise ZOWIE for its extensive customization options, extremely comfortable stand, and DP cable included., as well as for fast response and increased hertz. In seventh place is Samsung C24RG50FQI. A technologically advanced gaming monitor from the Korean giant, it features a curved form factor and a moderate price tag. Now it can be found in retail at a price of about 17 thousand rubles.. The VA-matrix provides good viewing angles (178/178) and decent color reproduction (about 99% 99% sRGB). FreeSync technology, Flicker Free backlight and Eye Saver Mode are announced. The maximum brightness is relatively low — 250 cd / m2. The increased refresh rate can provide a decent gaming experience, though the monitor lags a little behind some of its peers in response.

Of the amenities, one can only name an external power supply.

Based on user reviews, stand has become one of the main «negative collectors» for this monitor: it takes up a lot of space on the table, is not adjustable and is not very stable. More buyers criticize the display for lack of a complete DP cable and heating (on the right side it can heat up to 40-50 degrees). At the same time, Samsung is praised for a good VA-matrix and factory calibration. In games, the display performs well, as well as in work tasks.

Display design is very simple — a massive black case with thick frames and a stand on a stable rectangular base. Looks solid, but not modern at all. The stand allows you to adjust the position of the monitor in terms of tilt and height, you can even rotate the display vertically. With connection ports, too, everything is fine: D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI 1.4, Display Port 1.2 (except perhaps mini DP is missing). There are two USB inputs, basic speakers and 3.5mm audio jacks (in and out). For control, a convenient touch unit is used.

One of the features of this series of displays is ambient light and proximity sensors. They should automatically adjust the brightness and turn off the picture when there is no user in front of the monitor. The monitor likes to remind the owner to take a break from workwhich can be annoying, but can be easily turned off in the settings. Customers complain that the light sensor is useless: It often does not work correctly, you can not adjust the basic brightness level. Criticism also concerns slightly uneven illumination — both on black and on a bright field.

At the same time, the display is praised for its excellent ergonomics.: an adjustable stand, an abundance of ports, a USB hub for peripherals, a VESA mount, a headphone output, even speakers (albeit of poor quality) — everything is done for the user’s convenience. A good design monitor with a lot of useful features. It’s not good for games. Ambient and proximity sensors are more marketing than real convenience. For professionals who are willing to pay more, BenQ has a better solution with the 32-inch PD3200Q.

AOC C27G1

The combination of Full HD and a large 27-inch diagonal does not imply the highest pixel density. However, the VA panel produces a satisfactory color gamut (94% sRGB), as well as excellent contrast and black levels.. This configuration is valued primarily in games. Flicker-free backlighting, FreeSync and Low Blue Light support. The monitor looks like a typical gaming solution: a curved panel, no bezels, a black plastic case with red accents. Here, a completely unfortunate arrangement of control buttons manifests itself; a joystick is very desirable for a gaming monitor. A lot of complaints relate to light, but it all depends on the success of a single instance.

A compromise monitor for gamers who want to play on a large display, but can’t afford a powerful graphics card and are willing to put up with the graininess of the picture. Its direct competitor is the LG 27GL650F, which makes the same compromises and costs the same. Is that the stand from LG turned out to be more convenient.

MSI Optix G241

In fourth place is MSI Optix G241. Another well-balanced budget Full HD gaming monitor. In stores it can now be found at a price of about 22 thousand rubles. The display is built on a high-quality 8-bit IPS-matrix with excellent color gamut (128% sRGB). It can be praised for its high contrast ratio and stable color temperature. The screen has a semi-matte finish and excellent viewing angles (178/178), Flicker-Free backlight is used. A package of gaming technologies is supported: FreeSync and Night Vision for detailing dark spaces. The monitor shows an honest 144 Hz in tests and a very fast response.

Optix G241 received a typical gaming design: frameless, slim gray body with brand logo, wide wedge-shaped stand. For the sake of economy and catchy appearance, engineers sacrificed ergonomics. The stand takes up a lot of space on the table and is only adjustable in tilt angle. To fix the legs, the buyer will have to use a screwdriver. The interface ports are located behind the leg, which makes connecting cables inconvenient. Of the interfaces, there are two HDMI 1.4b ports, one DisplayPort 1.2a and a 3.5 mm audio output. There are no analog ports, as well as a USB hub. Setting up the monitor is also not very convenient — through the joystick on the back of the case. Of the useful, one can only mention the VESA mount.

Buyers mainly criticize the display for all of the listed ergonomic problems, as well as for the lack of a DP cable and a modest 1 year manufacturer’s warranty. Some complain about typical IPS-matrix highlights, high minimum brightness and poor factory calibration. However There are practically no complaints about the quality of color reproduction and work in games.

Optix G241 is a good combination of price and quality. MSI clearly tried to give the buyer the maximum within the given budget, focusing on the quality of the matrix. But this was achieved at the cost of many compromises. The budget Samsung C24RG50FQI can be considered its competitor, but MSI is slightly ahead of it in terms of response time and color reproduction.

LG 27GL650F

In third place is the LG 27GL650F. A large gaming monitor (27 inches) is one of LG’s most frequently sold models today. In retail it can now be found at a price of about 27 thousand rubles.. The basis of the display was a good 8-bit IPS-matrix. The color gamut is very decent (sRGB 99%), HDR10 support is implemented for increased image clarity. The screen has an anti-reflective coating, viewing angles are comfortable (178/178). There is FreeSync support and a black stabilizer.

The monitor is made in a rather restrained design, in front of its “gaming” essence, only thin frames give out. The back of the case is decorated with a red radial insert framing the brand’s logo. Of particular note here is the gas-lift stand, which allows you to easily rotate the monitor., adjust it in height, even rotate it in a vertical plane. The monitor is quickly and easily removed from the stand thanks to a convenient button. The set of ports is standard: two HDMI version 2.0 and one DP (the DP cable is included in the kit). There are no analog inputs, as well as a USB hub. But there is a headphone output.

It is easy to guess that the 27-inch diagonal is not the best way to combine with Full HD-resolution. Users complain about the graininess and pixelation of the picture, which is especially striking when working with text or code. There are complaints about poor black uniformity and slight glare.s, which is typical for IPS in this price segment.

Sharpened, rather, for entertainment than for work. It is convenient to play and watch videos on it, but when working with text, graininess will tire your eyes. Its closest analogue is the AOC C27G1, a monitor with the same advantages and disadvantages. For gamers who want a big display and are willing to put up with Full HD.

BenQ PD3200Q

In tests, the display showed excellent brightness and high contrast, excellent color gamut (100% sRGB) and stable color temperature. The screen even has a Technicolor certificate, which confirms the most accurate color reproduction.. Implemented backlight without flicker.

The monitor looks strictly and restrained: thick frames, black plastic and a massive support with a wide rectangular base. The only bright element in the appearance of the device was the blue ring in the stand.through which you can conveniently run wires. It must be understood that the monitor is huge, it weighs about 12 kilograms. He will need an appropriate table. The stand is very comfortable: You can rotate the screen, adjust its tilt angle, height, rotate in a vertical plane. For those who want to mount the panel on the wall, there is a VESA mount.

Pleased with the abundance of ports for all occasions: HDMI (v1.4), DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort, DVI-DL, full USB hub (2 upstream ports, 4 downstream ports), card reader, 3.5 mm headphone output. Besides, the monitor has the simplest speakers and a removable joystick controlI. Includes DP and USB cables. Customers really appreciate this monitor for its ergonomics and maximum usability. At the same time, you need to remember that the monitor is not for gaming — the refresh rate is only 60 Hz, in dynamic games you may encounter input lags. And not every video card in a home assembly can handle graphics at such a diagonal in Quad HD.

One of the best designer monitors on the market. It surpasses the BL2420PT from the same BenQ in everything, but it also costs much more. It makes no sense to compare it with gaming monitors.

Samsung Odyssey G7 27″

The leader of my rating is Samsung Odyssey G7 27″. Premium curved gaming QLED monitor from the Korean giant. Its retail price today is about 50 thousand rubles.. For this big money, the buyer gets a 10-bit VA-matrix with excellent color gamut (99.6% sRGB, 90% DCI-P3) and high contrast ratio (2500:1). The available brightness range is very wide — from 42 to 350 cd/m². And in HDR mode (HDR600 is supported here), judging by the tests, you can squeeze out 600 cd / m². Even at the minimum brightness, there is no flickering of the backlight.. Implemented illumination uneven compensation and blue light suppression.

In games, the monitor performs amazingly, honest 240 Hz and minimal input lag are felt. Both FreeSync and G-Sync are fully supported. As befits a top solutionOdyssey G7 received a flashy futuristic design. The body of black plastic with an unusual texture has a 1000R curvature curve. Around the point of attachment of the screen to the body and its lower edge, there is a customizable RGB LED backlight. The monitor stands on a large metal V-shaped support, which allows you to rotate it, adjust the tilt, height, rotate in a vertical plane. It also comes with a dedicated VESA mount.

All display connectors are located in a special niche on the back side. There are HDMI, DisplayPort, a USB hub with two USB 3.0 ports and a headphone jack. The body support provides for cable management, all cords can be covered with a special casing. The joystick located on the bottom of the case is used for control.. Many for such money would like to see a full-fledged control panel in the monitor kit.

Buyers complain about not the best viewing angles. Although Samsung claims decent 178/178 angles, this is apparently not enough for a monitor with such a curve. G-Sync does not work correctly for some, a noticeable flicker appears during the game. There are also questions about ergonomics: the stand requires a very spacious table, the USB hub is placed inconveniently, and the diode under the power button shines too brightly.

Today, in terms of the combination of characteristics, the Odyssey G7 has very few competitors.. Few other than Samsung can offer a matrix of this quality in this segment. At the same time, the monitor has flaws that I would not like to see in a device for 50 thousand rubles. In my opinion, the price tag is too high, and there are many worthy solutions on the market at half the price, for example, the same Samsung C24RG50FQI.
