My Godaddy Quickblogcast Review

Since in webhostinggeek's rankings, Godaddy only ranks in the 9th or 8th position when it comes to webhosting, I thought I might do my own review. Of course, my review is based on using Godaddy's free quickblogcast which comes with every domain purchase but I'm assuming it's the same thing considering that Godaddy hosts quickblogcast on the same servers.

So far, I haven't really experienced any downtime. However, as many other Godaddy user reviews state, it is kinda slow. I can log in quickly to my quickblogcast dashboard but when I try to write a new post, it takes around 3-5 minutes before the Post dashboard is shown. As for the help desk, I usually get an answer within 24 hours which is good. The downside of quickblogcast (which is unrelated to webhosting) is that customization is very limited. Yes, I can edit the CSS stylesheet, unlike in worpress' free account wherein you have to pay a monthly fee, but that's it, I can control how it looks but I can't control where my page elements are placed.

Anyways, all in all, for a free account, Godaddy isn't half bad. It's one of the more popular web hosting service and probably the one webhost to have a Superbowl ad so that has to say something about the company.
