If you want to get the best deals on gadgets and consumer electronics, there's no place to look but online. So why is online shopping cheaper? Simple, retailers don't have to add the costs of maintaining a brick and mortar store and the costs of maintaining inventory when they have an online shop. That's why you could find some nifty gadgets at almost half the price.

Of course, don't limit your shopping with the results you find on Google. There are online auction sites such as eBay wherein you can find super cheap consumer electronics. But not all cheap goods can be found on eBay. If you want to know if you're getting a great deal, consult a price comparison website. You can get an idea of the market price of the gadget you're after.

Whether you found the cheapest price on eBay or some other website, your savings doesn't end there. Check for eBay coupons or Paypal coupons to further shave off the price on the item. If you found it in some other mainstream website, check if the website offers online coupons.
