2005 Ford F150

My brother's trusty 2005 F150 will be due for an upgrade soon and the likely replacement will be the updated version of the F150. Don't ask me why, I mean, I'm sure there's not much to update but while I'm a gadget geek, my brother is the car geek. He's not rich or anything but every time he has the extra cash, what he splurges on is cars.

The 2005 Ford F150 was one of the vehicles I like most from his collection of—brace yourselves..3! LOL, I know, it's not much of a collection but those are his pride and joy. While trucks aren't really my thing, you have to admire the 2005 Ford F150 for combining power, comfort and luxury in one. The latter two adjectives aren't what you'd expect to describe a pick-up truck but the 2005 Ford F150 is able to pull it off. The F150 offers you comfortable interiors, excellent handling and a more refined ride.

The 2005 Ford F-150 comes in six models: The XL for the work oriented, the sporty STX, the XLT, FX4, luxury Lariat, and the SuperCrew. The difference between models lie on the different trim variations and different instrument panels. As for the similarities between models, all have can be outfitted with a rear wheel drive (4WD), all have anti-lock four wheel disc brakes, and no side airbags. As to the engine, there's the standard 4.2 liter V6 engine with 202 hp and two V8 engines to choose from: a 4.6 liter with 231 horsepower, and a 5.4 liter with 300 horsepower. You can also choose the body style of your Ford F-150 between a regular, extended, and crew-cab body styles.

For a truck, the Ford F-150's engine is extremely quiet and the road and wind noise are at a minimum even at highway speeds. The only downside is that the Ford F-150 is a regular gas guzzler. The Ford F-150 is a big boy's toy and would not disappoint those looking for style and performance.
