Thank God for GPS

Let's face it, Google Maps and GPS Maps have made traveling a lot easier for us. Take me for example, I'm the kind of person who wants their travel planned out so I want an itinerary and all that. Thanks to Google Maps, I'm able to research the places I want to go ahead of time, and get directions. Of course, one problem that could come up is when my party and I decided to travel to a place which is not in our itinerary.

That's where having a GPS device comes in handy. With a GPS device, you won't have to ever get lost in a new city again. Of course, if you're a hiker, you need aerial maps too in order to get a better idea of the area's topography. Thanks to advances in technology and competition, one can buy GPS devices for under a $100 nowadays. GPS is slowly replacing maps and in the future, when you land in a foreign country, you probably won't see maps in the airport but a kiosk where you can download GPS maps. Now that's cool.
