Selling Gadgets on eBay

eBay is one of the places you can find the cheapest gadget. Believe me, I’ve managed to buy one or two gadgets there before and you can’t find anywhere else that can compete with the prices there. Me being a gadget geek and all, wanted to know where these sellers get their inventory from. Maybe if I can find the source I’ll be able to get my hands on much cheaper gadgets. Well, some of the sellers are actually liquidators (company/person buying old stuff from malls in bulk) and then they sell them on eBay. Since liquidators are required to purchase in bulk, I’ll have to scratch that off as my source.

Then there’s the dropshipper . Dropshippers allows you to sell their products without getting an inventory. You actually act as a middle man. What you actually do is post the dropshipper’s ebay products (of course, you set the price so that you can earn profit) and when someone buys the product, you get their money then deduct your added profit, place their orders with the dropshipper and pay the dropshipper the price of the product and the dropshipper will be the one to directly ship the product to your customer.

Of course, dropshippers are not only known to drop ship electronics, they also carry clothing, toys, furniture, etc. You have to be careful though when searching for a dropshipper because some companies are actually just middle men and the price they’ll offer you is too high that it would be hard to compete with the sellers on eBay. One website that offers dropshipping is shopster.com. They require a fee to join but the good news is that you can try their services for free for 7 days so if you feel like they price their products too high for you to compete on eBay, then you can just safely opt out at the end of the seven day trial.

Anyways, can’t wait to try this thing out. I’m sure there’s a lot of cheap electronics waiting for me to buy them.
