The Antivirus Software Roundup
Over the years that I’ve been a PC user, Antivirus software have come and go. I’ve literally tried every AntiVirus Software in the market so here’s just my two cents regarding the best of them.
-
TrendMicro – my favorite AntiVirus software of all time. Their PC-Cillin 2005 Internet Security was probably the best. Less footprint and doesn’t take a toll on my PC. Good detection too and already has firewall support. Their latest Internet Security Software is not as good though as it takes a while to load upon start-up but it’s cheap. They’re offering 3 licenses for the price of one.
- Cyber Defender Antivirus Software – my next favorite. Has a very user friendly interface and uses up less resources on your PC. Also includes anti-spyware, anti-phishing, and anti-spam.
- McAfee – was also able to use this software. I like their security suite but it’s too expensive for me. Takes up more resources of my PC than the first two antivirus software.
- Norton Internet Security – My least favorite antivirus software. Yes, a lot of people are raving about the Norton Internet Security, it definitely has a good detection and firewall system but the problem is that it just uses too much system resources. If your PC specs are from a year or two years ago, I’d stay away from this. If you’re not online all the time, them TrendMicro and Cyber Defender will do the job for you with minimal system requirements.
