Automated Halloween Decorations

Halloween is only a few days away. If you’re looking to polish that inner geek inside of you, here are some fun Halloween activities that you might want to try doing to scare of those little trick or treaters come Halloween. Of course, all of these projects won’t really do that much good if your home isn’t decorated right for Halloween so before you set out on doing these automated Halloween decorations you should start with the basic. I suggest you head on over to Celebrations.com so you can get some decorating tips and ideas.

Anyways, I got these videos off Hacked Gadgets. The first video is an automated Halloween coffin which uses PVC pipe and sprinkler Valve. The Skeleton rises from the coffin and few zombie sounds should definitely do the trick.

This other video is of an automated Halloween pumpkin. The tools used by this guy are pretty expensive considering he’s a professional electrician but I’m sure a lot of you hobbyists can probably pull a cheaper one off some hobby electronics.

Of course, doing both would probably be going overboard as your house might look like one of those haunted houses you can see on local fairs but then again, to each his own.
