Okay, so you just love technology and in all the years that you’ve tinkered with your PC, you already know the ins and outs of it and you know all about troubleshooting your PC and you can even do it with your eyes closed. You would love a job in IT, however you don’t have the college degree to do that and getting a college degree is definitely out of the question considering the current economic crisis the US is facing.

Well, this might not sit well with some but techno savvy individuals looking for jobs might do well in the call center industry. The problem is that call center jobs have been outsourced to other countries and there are only a few call centers operating in the US. ProfitFuel is a call center but I think they’re focusing on outbound calls and they’re centered more on sales. Though if you’re also a good salesperson you can probably try out ProfitFuel considering they’re one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the US.

If you prefer to work at home, there are numerous work at home opportunities and I think there was one website who was hiring some technical persons for their online web support though I forgot which site it was. A quick Google search might yield good results, try the search term “technical support specialist work at home” or similar terms.
